Trump 'humiliated and bullied' world leaders - report

EPA-EFE/NEIL HALL

United States President Donald Trump "humiliated and bullied" other world leaders including former United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, unnamed White House and intelligence sources claimed on Tuesday.

Speaking to CNN's Carl Bernstein, one of two former Washington Post journalists responsible for unveiling the Watergate scandal, the sources said the president allegedly told May she was "weak" and "lacked courage," and Merkel that she was "stupid." On the other hand, he reportedly sought to appeal to more "authoritarian" figures such as Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he compared to a "chess grandmaster," and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Trump's administration is currently experiencing pressures to reveal the details of the intelligence information regarding the alleged Russian interference in the Taliban attack on the US troops in Afghanistan.
