United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday his administration is in talks with "five or six" additional countries in the Middle East that are ready to sign peace deals with Israel ahead of the signing ceremony of the so-called Abraham Accords.
"We are in talks with 5 or 6 countries about signing peace deal with Israel, you will see more announcements soon," he told reporters as he prepared to preside over the signing of agreements between Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates at the White House.
"HISTORIC day for PEACE in the Middle East — I am welcoming leaders from Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Bahrain to the White House to sign landmark deals that no one thought was possible. MORE countries to follow!" Trump tweeted earlier.
