Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded lower on Wednesday after the newest reports on the Australian economy. The country's April services PMI increased by 0.5 percentage points to land at 56.1, while it's March retail sales rose 1.6% month-on-month and 9.4% year-on-year.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 1.16% at 4:45 am CET, while South Korea's Kospi declined by 0.14% at the same time. Furthermore, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was down 0.06% also at 4:45 am CET, with the American dollar trading 0.02% lower against the Japanese yen, selling for 130.1200 at 4:44 am CET.
Additionally, the stock markets in Japan and mainland China were closed due to national holidays.
