Trump announces 'largest AI infrastructure project in history'

United States President Donald Trump, speaking from the White House on his first day back in office, announced a groundbreaking initiative to boost America's position in artificial intelligence.

Joined by key industry leaders, Trump revealed plans for Stargate, a new US-based company that will invest at least $500 billion into AI infrastructure. "This is the largest AI infrastructure project in history," Trump said.

Larry Ellison, executive chairman of Oracle, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, joined Trump for the announcement.
