United States President Donald Trump denied on Friday the allegations that billionaire entrepreneur had access to the US war plans regarding a hypothetical future conflict against China.
"Because I don't want to show it to anybody," Trump told a reporter at the Oval Office, answering his question whether the White House is denying the previous report by the New York Times claiming that Musk was going to be shown a 20 to 30-page presentation about a theoretical war plan against China. "I don't want anybody seeing potential war with China... we don't wanna have a potential war with China... but I can tell you if we did we're very well equipped to handle it but I don't want to show that to anybody, certainly you wouldn't show it to a businessman." Trump concluded by calling the report "a fake story."
The president also stated that Musk "is paying a big price for helping us cut costs," adding that he's "doing a great job."
