Trump ends Hunter, Ashley Biden's Secret Service detail

United States President Donald Trump announced that former President Joe Biden's children, Hunter and Ashley, would lose their Secret Service protection "effective immediately."

He claimed taxpayers had been covering their security for too long, with Hunter having as many as 18 agents. Trump called the cost "ridiculous" and criticized Biden's son for vacationing in South Africa. Ashley Biden, who reportedly had 13 agents, would also lose protection, Trump said.

"He is currently vacationing in, of all places, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people has been strenuously questioned." Trump said, talking about Hunter. He added that South Africa had been removed from the list of countries receiving economic and financial assistance because of these human rights concerns.
