United States President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that negotiations on tariffs are still ongoing, stressing that "nothing is over yet."

Speaking at an event on the South Portico of the White House, Trump noted that "people were getting a little jumpy, a little afraid," in reference to the previous day's market selloff.

Moreover, he criticized China while justifying the new tariffs, particularly the decision to increase Chinese tariffs to 125%. "China was by far the biggest abuser," he asserted.
