Trump says his fraud ruling fuels exodus of businesses from NY

EPA-EFE/SHAWN THEW

Former United States President Donald Trump expressed his disapproval of a recent ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron, who found him and the Trump Organization liable for committing fraud by inflating the value of assets.

Trump criticized the verdict, highlighting his perception that while he believes his businesses operated "perfectly," this judicial decision may drive more companies away from the region. He lamented the impact on the state's justice system and the exodus of businesses from New York.

"This is the judicial conduct that is forcing thousands of companies to flee New York for other environs, while virtually nobody comes back to the city or state," Trump concluded.
