United States President Donald Trump said that a deal with TikTok's Chinese parent ByteDance to sell the app would be achieved before Saturday's deadline.
"We have a lot of potential buyers," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. "There's tremendous interest in TikTok," he stressed, adding that he'd "like to see TikTok remain alive."
Trump said last week that he would consider giving China "a little reduction in tariffs" in exchange for Beijing agreeing to TikTok's sale.
