United President Donald Trump responded to a question about the possibility of a recession during an interview on Fox, saying that now that he's elected "we're going to have the strongest economic country in the history of the world."

When asked again if he is ruling out a recession in 2025, Trump vowed again that the US will be the "strongest economic country in the history of the world, of the planet," as he said, "we're taking in so much money." He stated that some people were "unhappy because it has to come from somewhere," as "some of it will come from Europe because not everyone is going to be doing so much business maybe in Europe and other places," adding that he can only speak for the US, "I am a nationalist and I'm proud of it, I love this country."

Additionally, Trump stated that he "wouldn't mind" a summit in June with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
