United States President Donald Trump insisted on Tuesday that the country's national security is "stronger that it's ever been" despite the accidental inclusion of some journalists in the group chat in which several high-ranking defense and intelligence officials shared the plans on the latest attack on the Houthi movement in Yemen.
Speaking to the press after signing several executive orders at the White House, Trump reiterated that the relevant departments are led by capable individuals and that no classified information was shared in the group. He stressed that "nothing happened" after the content of the chat was released as the attack was "a tremendous success." Still, the president urged reconsidering using Signal in the future.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz then confirmed an investigation of how a group of journalists ended up being added to the chat.
