Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk announced on Tuesday that 156 people have been evacuated from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia. Mariupol mayor Vadym Boichenko claimed over 200 civilians remain in the plant.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed the people, who left the plant over the weekend, have reached their destination. "A convoy of buses and ambulances accompanied by ICRC and UN teams was joined by families and individuals in private vehicles along the way. More than 100 people, including some who were wounded, reached Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday," it stated.
