United States President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is attempting to back out of a crucial minerals deal.

"He's trying to back out of the rare earth deal and if he does that he's got some problems. Big, big problems," Trump stressed. "He wants to be a member of NATO, but he's never going to be a member of NATO. He understands that," the US president added.

Zelensky said last Wednesday that despite the US "constantly" changing the minerals deal's terms, he doesn't want to give the US the impression that Ukraine "opposes" it.
