British Prime Minister Liz Truss denounced China's provocations over Taiwan in the face of mounting tensions in the region, which threatened Japan's Special Economic Zone, Downing Street revealed on Tuesday.
The British prime minister met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, with both leaders agreeing to "work together to tackle the strategic threat posed by China."
"The Prime Minister and Prime Minister Kishida agreed on the importance of like-minded democracies working together, including through international institutions like the G7, to constrain economic, security and other threats from authoritarian regimes," the statement read.
