Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said Ankara views Western sanctions against Russia as the group's futile effort to stop Moscow's military operation in Ukraine.
The spokesman told the media on Saturday that Ankara will not adopt the measures as it believes the anti-Russian sanctions will harm the Turkish economy more than the Russian Federation. "They have not changed Russia's actions, nor have they given the Ukrainians the opportunity to win a decisive military victory," Kalin reportedly said about the measures.
