The United Arab Emirates Foreign Affairs Ministry has "categorically rejected any infringement on Palestinians' unalienable rights," including efforts to displace them while emphasizing the urgent need to stop settlement activities that jeopardize regional stability and hinder peace prospects.
In a statement on Wednesday, the UAE emphasized the need for diplomatic solutions, urging the international community to address the root causes of the conflict in Palestinian territory and ensure a just, permanent resolution. It also called for intensified efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and prevent the expansion of regional conflict, stressing the importance of protecting civilians and fostering coexistence.
The declaration comes amid global backlash over US President Donald Trump's controversial remarks suggesting the US could "take over" Gaza and displace Palestinians. Trump's proposal, made during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been condemned as "racist" by Hamas and sparked international outrage.
