The world's richest man and Tesla CEO Elon Musk (pictured) took to Twitter to comment on the recent economic developments on Friday, predicting that the recession will last until the spring of 2024, as concerns over a potential economic slowdown stir the global markets.

The comments come just days after Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon warned that there is a "good chance" of a recession hitting the United States considering the current state of the country's economy.

Previously, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Loretta Mester underlined that the tightening policy will continue even if the country's economy enters a recession, as the Federal Reserve aims to lower inflation in the country, with more indicators pointing to possible increases of federal funds in the upcoming meetings.
