The United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) announced on Friday the easing of travel warning for some areas of Israel introduced after Hamas attacked that country's territory on October 7, 2023.
"FCDO no longer advises against all travel or all but essential travel to some areas of Israel and the West Bank but continues to advise against all travel or all but essential travel to other areas of Israel and the OPTs [occupied Palestinian territories]," the statement read.
The regions for which the warning against all but essential travel remained active are certain parts of the West Bank and the area around the border with Lebanon. The one against all travel is still on for the Gaza Strip and the zone around the city of Jenin.
