The United Kingdom's retail sales volumes saw an annual decline of 0.2% in June, failing to meet expectations, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) unveiled in its report published on Friday.
Compared to the previous month, the figure decreased by 1.2%, much more than predicted. The fall was registered in all sectors except automotive fuel.
In the three months to June, the volumes dropped by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter and 0.2% in contrast with the same period in 2023.
