The United Kingdom's retail sales volumes jumped by 2.2% in February compared to the same month a year prior, missing analysts' expectations, the Office for National Statistics revealed in a report published on Friday.
On a monthly basis, the figure jumped by 1%, with household goods stores sales surging 6.8% and non-food stores rising 1.3%. Meanwhile, food store sales were down 2%
In the three months to February 2025, sales volumes went up by 0.3% quarter-on-quarter and rose by 2% year-on-year.
