British government spokesperson Max Blain noted on Tuesday that despite the latest conflict arising between Canada and India, the United Kingdom will maintain the conversations with New Delhi on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) whose 13th round started on September 4.

Speaking to reporters, Blain said if London is distressed about the countries it has commercial agreements with, it "will raise them directly with the government" involved and that is not of its interest "to conflate with other issues."

Earlier, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak remarked that the development of the talks "shouldn't sacrifice quality for speed."
