United Kingdom's Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be announcing more support for the country's businesses next week, Chief Secretary to the Treasury Darren Jones told Sky News on Sunday.

"Keir has been clear that he's unhappy about the tariffs," Jones underlined, reiterating that London will answer Washington in a "cool-headed and calm way."

In an article written for The Telegraph, Starmer said that the "world as we knew it has gone," adding that "we must rise to meet the moment." He repeated that there are no winners in a trade war, insisting that the consequences for the global economy could be "profound."
