UN's Guterres calls for restraint in Syria

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres asked all parties in the conflict in Syria to exercise “restraint to avoid any acts that could deepen the suffering of the Syrian people.”

Guterres added that risks of conflict escalation are very high.

The UN Security Council will meet later in the day to discuss the US attack on Syria.
