The death toll of United Nations employees in the Gaza Strip rose to 280 after one staffer was killed in the latest Israeli strike on the UN headquarters in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, deputy spokesperson for UN Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Farhan Haq said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The locations of all UN premises are known to the parties to the conflict, who are bound by international law to protect them and maintain their absolute inviolability," Haq stated.
The official stressed that the secretary-general once again urged the parts to the conflict to respect the ceasefire and end "the suffering of the people."
