United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stressed on Wednesday in a social media post that crossings in the Gaza Strip must be opened again.
"Without fuel, trucks cannot move critical humanitarian assistance, water pumps will stop functioning & the remaining hospitals will shut down. This happens at a time we are racing against the clock to respond to immense humanitarian needs across the Gaza Strip," he wrote in the post.
Previously, Israel closed both the Rafah and the Kerem Shalom crossings due to the latest development in its war against Hamas.
