The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold a meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine on March 26, Denmark's permanent representative to the organization stated Monday.
"It was requested by a number of Security Council members with the support of others," the representative clarified.
Notably, the UNSC in February adopted a resolution authored by the United States calling for a "swift" end to the long-standing conflict without condemning Russia. None of the council's five permanent members vetoed the resolution, with the US, Russia, and China all voting in favor and the United Kingdom and France abstaining.
