The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted a resolution sponsored by the United States calling for the swift end of the Ukraine war. The document did not contain a reference to Russia as an aggressor in the ongoing conflict.

Ten member states voted in favor of the motion, including the US, Russia, and China. The United Kingdom and France were among the five countries that abstained. At the same time, none of the five permanent members of the UNSC vetoed the resolution, enabling its adoption.

Earlier, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted a resolution proposed by Ukraine and several European nations, condemning Russia for its role in the conflict. Notably, the United States voted against, whereas China abstained. The resolution eventually passed with 93 countries voting "yes" and 18 voting against. It coincided with the third anniversary of the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.
