Russian forces capture Martynovka in Kursk

Russian forces have captured the settlement of Martynovka, almost 20 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, according to a message on Telegram by Apti Aludinov, major general and commander of the Special Rapid Reaction Squadron Akhmat.

According to the general's information, Russian forces were advancing in the morning, creating barriers against Ukrainian forces, and moving in the direction of Sudzha. "The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not fully control Sudzha, Russian units are working there," he said.

The report comes as Russia began evacuating thousands more residents of the Glushkov district of the Kursk region as Ukrainian forces advanced deeper into Russian territory. The ongoing incursion, which began on August 6, represents the largest foreign attack on Russian soil since World War II.
