United States Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland met on Wednesday with senior South Korean officials to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the North Korean nuclear threat.

Nuland met South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's top nuclear envoy Kim Gunn, with whom she consulted on the North Korean nuclear power, as it was announced that South Korea could impose cyber sanctions if the North proceeds with the planned nuclear test.

She also had a discussion with the Second Vice Foreign Minister Lee Do-hoon and the two officials agreed to cooperate on a range of issues, such as the global supply chain, the Ukraine crisis, and the price cap on Russian oil.
