Equities on major United States stock markets closed the trading session on Monday in the red as markets were getting ready for the US presidential election.
The Dow Jones closed 0.61% or 257 points lower. The Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.35% and the S&P 500 declined by 0.28%.
The euro was 0.39% higher compared to the dollar, changing hands for 1.08762 at 3:59 pm ET.
