US closes mostly higher following economic reports

Major stock indexes in the United States traded mostly with gains at the close of Monday's session as market participants digested the latest reports on private sector activity and factory orders. Meanwhile, the Walt Disney Company revealed that its Hulu+ Live TV will merge with FuboTV Inc., pushing Fubo's share up by 245%. In politics, the US Congress certified President-elect Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election.

The Dow Jones traded flat at the close. On the other hand, the Nasdaq 100 climbed by 1.09% with MicroStrategy Inc. jumping 11.61%. The S&P 500 rose by 0.55% as Micron Technology Inc. surged 10.45%.

The euro was up 0.79% compared to the dollar at 3:58 pm ET, changing hands at $1.03872.
