Investors are anxiously waiting for the inflation figures for March as analysts warn the figure could tick up compared to February's 3.2%. Fed officials have already indicated that rate cuts could not be in the pipeline for a while yet, with some even cautioning that further rises could be warranted if disinflation stalls.
The Dow Jones declined by 0.19% at 4:26 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 fell by 0.18%, and the S&P 500 dropped 0.23% at the same time.
The euro traded 0.09% lower against the dollar, going for 1.08291 at 4:27 am ET.
