US durable goods orders up 0.9% in February

Durable goods orders in the United States amounted to $289.3 billion in February, rising 0.9% on a monthly basis, the Census Bureau said in a report on Wednesday. Transportation equipment saw the biggest increase in orders, up 1.5% to $98.3 billion.

Excluding transportation, durable goods orders added 0.7% month-on-month. Excluding defense, new orders increased 0.8%.
