US health secretary tests positive for COVID-19

United States Health Secretary Xavier Becerra tested positive for the coronavirus, the Health Department said on Monday, noting he was experiencing only mild symptoms.

The department added that Becerra wasn't considered a close contact of President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris, and that he was fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Becerra also tested positive for COVID-19 last month.
