United States stock indexes moved to gains in premarket trade on Wednesday after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen reiterated the current administration's top priority is bringing down inflation. Investors are waiting for data reports on the manufacturing sector, jobs and construction spending, with the Federal Reserve's Beige Book being published later in the day.
The Dow Jones added 0.49% at 8:08 am ET, as the Nasdaq 100 grew by 0.32% and the S&P 500 increased by 0.28% at the same time.
The euro traded 0.20% lower compared to the dollar and sold for 1.07132 at 8:09 am ET.
