Major stock market indexes in the United States traded lower in premarket on Thursday after significant declines they observed the previous day, and ahead of the latest reports on the country's initial jobless claims and existing home sales. Meanwhile, Washington reaffirmed its belief North Korea could perform a nuclear test during US President Joe Biden's diplomatic tour in Asia.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.86% or 270 points at 4:13 am ET. A minute later, the Nasdaq 100 decreased by 1.17% or 137 points. The S&P 500 declined by 0.89%.
The euro gained 0.22% to the dollar at 4:14 am ET to sell for $1.04860.
