Major stock markets in the United States traded lower during premarket trading on Tuesday, as investors anticipated the Federal Housing Finance Agency report on housing market conditions and the S&P's report on the value of the residential real estate market in 20 regions across the US, as well as US Census Bureau's report on home sales. Investors also awaited the report on consumer confidence in the country while still digesting US President Donald Trump's incoming tariffs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.19% at 4:25 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 dropped by 0.34% at the same time. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 slipped by 0.26% at 4:26 am ET.
The euro lost 0.20% against the dollar and sold for $1.07797 at 4:27 am ET.
