Major stock indexes in the United States traded mixed in the premarket on Wednesday, as investors turned their attention to the Federal Reserve's meeting, scheduled for next week. Although the latest data on the country’s inflation gave some hope that the central bank might reconsider its monetary policy path, traders are still showing signs of uneasiness.
On the data front, reports on the US producer prices, alongside retail sales, will be released before the market open.
The Dow Jones lost 0.17% at 4:40 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.11% and the S&P 500 was flat. The euro stood flat against the dollar at 4:41 am ET, to sell for 1.07355.
