The number of oil rigs in the United States observed a weekly decline of two to come in at 590 in the seven-day period ending April 6, Baker Hughes stated in its weekly report published on Thursday.
The number of gas rigs declined by two week-by-week to reach 158. Compared to the same period in 2022, the count of oil rigs advanced by 44, and of gas rigs by 17.
In Canada, the number of oil rigs decreased by 6 on a weekly basis and one on an annual one to land at 52. The number of gas rigs dropped by 6 compared to the previous week to 75, but increased by 17 year-on-year.
