Major stock market indexes in the United States opened higher on Wednesday in anticipation of the Federal Reserve's newest decision on its interest rates. Previously, the country posted a drop in mortgage applications of 6.2%, an indicator of the move that investors kept assessing.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.25% or 111 points as The Boeing Company surged by 5.09% at 9:33 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 gained 0.51% or 100 points, with Tesla Inc. jumping by 3.68% at 9:34 am ET. The S&P 500 rose by 0.37%. Boeing was the best performer on that index too.
The euro lost 0.43% to the euro at 9:28 am ET to sell for $1.08973.
