The United States announced on Tuesday that it is allocating $404 million in humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the wider region. It also called on other donors to provide aid to Palestinians living in "dire humanitarian conditions" and work toward resolving the Israel-Hamas conflict.
"This new funding will provide essential support... including food, safe drinking water, health care, protection, education, shelter, and psychosocial support. The United States remains committed to addressing the humanitarian needs of those affected by the crisis," the State Department said.
