Stocks on Wall Street recovered from yesterday's losses on Thursday as the Dow Jones continued to climb, gaining over 500 points, with market participants assessing the latest batch of earnings in the country.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.30% or 518 points, at 12:23 pm ET. International Business Machines Corp. led the gains, up 6.01% following strong second-quarter earnings. The S&P 500 jumped 0.90% and the Nasdaq 100 added 0.71% or 133 points, seemingly recovering from their worst session since 2022. American Airlines Inc., RTX Corporation and Unilever plc contributed to the upbeat market sentiment by surging over 6%.
The euro traded 0.21% higher than the dollar, selling at 1.08645 at 12:24 ET.
