The United States has allowed Israel to attack any target anywhere if it determines it poses a threat, Al-Arabiya reported on Friday, citing Israeli sources.
According to the report, the US gave Israel the "green light to confront any threat on any front and in any geography."
The report comes as the conflict between Israel and Hamas i set to enter its second week, with media reports claiming Israel is expected to "imminently" launch a ground invasion of Gaza in response to Hamas' attacks. On Thursday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that Washington believes Israel will do "right things," and therefore, has not placed any conditions on delivering military aid to the country.
