US reportedly confirms Houthis downed its drone

A senior United States Army official confirmed the Houthi movement stroke down one of the armed forces' General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper drones, The Times of Israel reported on Wednesday.

The source said the army is still examining the event and trying to determine if it happened within Yemen's airspace or the international one.

Earlier in the day, the Houthis claimed they shot down a US drone that "was carrying out hostilities in Yemeni territorial waters."
