The United States allegedly postponed the sale of 20,000 M16 rifles to Israel, Axios reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.
According to the report, the cause for the delay in the sale draws its roots from concerns over settler violence in the West Bank, and the alleged possibility of Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's Minister of National Security arming the Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
The US State Department also announced that it would impose travel bans on Israeli settlers who showed any involvement in the attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank.
