Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh shared on Friday, during a press briefing, that the United States will send another military aid package to Ukraine worth approximately $400 million.
According to Singh, the new batch of assistance will include, among other things, Soviet-era T-72 tanks, which will be the "first provision of tanks from the United States." Nevertheless, to clarify, the press secretary underlined that "none of these are US tanks... they are coming from the Czech Republic defense industry."
The US is paying for 45 of these to be refurbished, while the Netherlands will be "matching our commitment and will provide an additional 45 tanks," she noted. These tanks will be "the most technically advanced tanks on the battlefield," Singh concluded.
