US trades flat premarket ahead of Fed rate decision

Major Wall Street stock markets traded flat during premarket ahead of the United States Federal Reserve's decision on its key interest rates, which are expected to be kept steady in the 4.25%-4.50% range. Investors also anticipated the Mortgage Bankers Association's report on the mortgage applications in the US for the previous week.

The Dow Jones, the Nasdaq 100, and the S&P 500 were all flat at 4:25 am ET.

The euro lost 0.37% against the dollar at 4:26 am ET and sold for $1.09044.
