United States Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack (pictured) on Thursday warned Lebanon-based and Iran-backed Hezbollah against taking part in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
Asked about Washington's position on Hezbollah's involvement in the Israel-Iran war, Barrack told reporters that "that would be a very, very, very bad decision."
Last Friday, Hezbollah issued a statement condemning Israel's strikes on Iran, but did not signal any intention to take action against Israel in support of Tehran. The group suffered severe losses in its recent war with Israel, when even its long-standing leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was assassinated.
