Russia on Monday may have conducted an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test that appears to have failed, CNN reported, citing two American officials with knowledge of the situation.
Moscow reportedly sent an early notice to the United States to inform Washington about the launch through deconfliction lines. The move came while United States President Joe Biden was on his surprise visit to Kiev.
According to one official the media outlet cited, the test did not put the US at risk and was not seen as an outlier or escalation by Washington.
