Uber Technologies Inc. has added the option to make flight bookings directly from its app in the United Kingdom as part of its effort to brand itself as a travel "super app," according to a report published by the Financial Times on Wednesday.
Uber's UK general manager Andrew Brem told the paper that the feature is the "latest and most ambitious step" in the ride-hailing giant's strategy to expand its business. To make this possible, Uber partnered with travel booking company Hopper.
Uber has previously included train, Eurostar, and coach ticket bookings across the UK.
